Sophie Costes the Water Element

About Experience of Sophie Costes

Sophie is a dancer at heart. A loving being connected to yoga and meditation, she has been drawn into the world of therapies (healing arts) for over a decade. She shares and teaches Ayurveda (indian medical system) in different places in the world.
Her explorations in the world & into herself have lead her face to face with many fears… Overcoming a fear of water in a watsu pool in Auroville, South India in 2004 opened a new chapter in her ability to share bodywork. Graduated as Watsu & Water Dance practitioner completed the chapter. From fear to fantastic.

Her understanding of Dance & bodywork contribute to her adaptability in developing water therapies. Various renowned teachers of Waterdance like Shantam and founder of Watsu; Harold Dull have been big influences.

Sophie combines her understanding that each person has individual needs & response according to their constitution (Ayurvedic concept of Dosha), with the intuitive presence & caring touch in all her therapies – on land or water.

Exploring Yoga and Vipassana Meditation for many years has brought a synthesis into Sophie’s healing work. Sophie’s passion for flowing water bodywork is a natural extension of her interest of heart opening towards inner peace.

Sophie offers treatments as well as health and lifestyle Ayurvedic consultations. She teaches two forms of traditional Indian massages: Abhyanga (given with hands) and Chavutti Thirumal (given with feet).
