Meditation is perhaps one of the most widely know spiritual practices after prayer. Yet there are many misconceptions, limited understandings and high expectations for this ‘simple’ practice. There are many traditions and various practices within their respective traditions. This is an introduction to the practice and significance of meditation as part of yoga practice.
In YMI Part 2 we cover the basics of internal focused meditation and continue with Outward Consciousness Meditation. Offering practices and philosophy with step by step guidance of how to create Yogic Meditation. Part will be an introduction to how meditation combines with asana and pranayama as a self development tool.
In meditation we practice coming back to the moment that is actually happening. In the process we de-clutter the mind and gradually develop an alertness to that which is Always present in us.
In this course you will gain knowledge of what meditation is and can be. You will learn specific practices that can be adapted to your capacity. Understand the obstacles and learn ways to manage these situations when they arise. This will begin your awareness of the personal power that meditation can afford to you.
Each session will begin will be with guided sitting meditation practice, preceded by a short warm up.
We complete each session with a relaxation and time for sharing and questions
If you are uncertain about any of this for you please don’t hesitate to contact me.

– meditation is the ancient science of the mind,
the mind is our most powerful tool, when used skilfully.
Unfortunately many people lacking skill do suffer.
